How fees are shown

"$100 in gets you about $X of bitcoin", and where the number comes from.

Every listing turns your fee into dollars: "$100 in → about $86 of bitcoin". The fee is all-in: your charge plus the spread over the market price.

  • From you: entered in the editor, by CSV or by API. Shown with its age.
  • Live: computed from your machine's prices in a feed, against a market reference. Shown as "Live rate, N minutes ago".
  • From a visitor: a customer reported it; we check it before it appears and label it.

Machines without a fee say "Fee not reported" and sort last when people choose Lowest fee. A flat fee per transaction is shown separately. The editor compares your fee with every machine within 5 miles.
