Crypto ATMs are banned in Minnesota
Kiosks are prohibited since August 1, 2026. Remove them and pay out customers by December 31, 2026.
Machines still listed here may be gone or switched off. If anyone tells you to pay at a crypto ATM, it's a scam.
What the law requires of operators here:
- Ban: Since August 1, 2026, no one may install, operate or maintain a kiosk in Minnesota.
- Refunds and holds: By December 31, 2026, pay out money or virtual currency held for or owed to customers, unless you keep another lawful way for them to access their funds.
