Connecticut rules for crypto ATMs

Kiosks are money transmission: license, daily limits, a 15% cap, large-type disclosures, receipts and fraud refunds.

What the law requires of operators here:

• Daily limits: Daily limits of $2,500 for new customers and $5,000 for existing customers (since October 1, 2024).
• Fees: Service fees and commissions together capped at 15% per transaction.
• Refunds and holds: Customers defrauded through a kiosk can get refunds directly from the operator (P.A. 24-146).
